Primal Ward Spells

    Is it just me or do you take more damage when using a ward spell (Arcane Refusal, Ignore Mysticism, Countercheck Primal) than without it?

     

    I've been meaning to try each of them in the arena under controlled conditions, but have yet to get around to it.  Any of you bored enough to try? :p  (30-50 attempts with the spell, 30-50 without, note the hits and misses as well as the damage taken)

    Well - for interest's sake I might take the Val's out and try belting Valo with and without wards and with and without using crystals and teched scales - see what the results come out like .. (no promises though :))
